Maintaining Wellness


We all have role and responsibilities in our personal and professional lives. At times we face demands that are challenging to us - that stretch us beyond our limits. We overwork in response to professional demands. We don’t get enough sleep caring for young children. We might eat and drink too much over the holidays. We feel worried and overburdened caring for a sick or elderly family member. Even more so, we are shocked and overwhelmed when unexpected events happen in our lives - being injured in an accident; going through a divorce; grieving the death of a loved one. All these scenarios can throw us off balance and affect our health and well-being.

Regular self-care is an important part of maintaining wellness - quality sleep, nourishing foods, spending time in nature, connecting with loved ones, enjoying physical activities and pursuing creative interests are among the many ways we restore and rejuvenate ourselves.

Acupuncture can play an important role in regular self-care and can help relieve the stress, pain, fatigue and dysfunction that accumulates when we are stretched beyond our limits.
